About us

Formed back in 1966 by a group of local cricketers looking for a new home Lordswood is a club built for the community, run by the community and once again becoming part of the community. We are proud to work under the hashtag of #lordswoodfamily offering cricket to players of all ages, religions, and for male and female without fear of prejudice.

We currently run 4 senior teams with both our 1st and 2nd teams playing at the highest level of amateur club cricket in the Shepherd Neame Kent Premier League. Our 3rd and 4th teams play in the Kent regional leagues offering entry to adult cricket to our younger junior players.

Our colts set up is growing strongly with children and their parents realising that Lordswood Cricket Club will offer the highest standard of coaching and support of highly qualified ECB award winning coaches. We are proud to have once again retained our Clubmark status which shows we are a safe and caring environment for all involved at Lordswood CC.

We have a vibrant social scene based at our fantastic clubhouse at Lordswood Sports and Social Club where bars are open all day every day, the kitchen offers bar meals and you can watch cricket from the patio at the boundaries’ edge.

We have two home pitches and a set of all weather practise nets to enable all to hone their skills or watch live cricket.

However, the fantastic facilities and legacy of the club have been hit this past winter by the sad deaths of two of our founding fathers Colin Gardener and Peter Edmonds. Both contributed massively from day one right up until their last days. Without them you wouldn’t be reading this, and we will forever be in their debt. Here’s to you Colin and Pete. Thankyou and we dedicate this coming season to your memory gents.

If you feel you want to be part of the #lordswoodfamily as a player or family, please look at our contact pages on this website and join us on our journey. We look forward to meeting you.
